好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 最爽的一天

　　名不見經傳的鋼琴家安迪（馬提亞斯·施維赫夫 Matthias Schweigh?fer 飾）和從未干過什么正經事整天游手好閑的本諾（弗洛里安·大衛·菲茨 Florian David Fitz 飾），這兩個個性迥異似乎永遠都不會有交集的人，相識于病房之中，兩人都患上了無法治愈的絕癥，時日無多。　　在本諾的慫恿之下，安迪決定和他一起逃出病房，來一趟充滿了陽光和激情的非洲之旅，他們要盡情享受轟轟烈烈毫無顧忌的人生，才能甘心接收死亡的終結。就這樣，兩個“亡命之徒”踏上了他們的旅途，一路上，瘋狂的兩人制造了數不清的麻煩和笑料，而他們糟糕的健康狀況，亦令兩人屢屢同死神擦肩而過。最終，當他們抵達了目的地時，又會有怎樣的一番景象在等待著兩人呢？
