業(yè)（黃秋生飾）是一名富商，他為人孝順，亦深愛妻子詠琴，無奈詠琴體弱多病，不能滿足洛業(yè)，洛業(yè)只好在夢中解決生理需要。在一次偶然的機會中，洛業(yè)遇見了術士十方，十方愿以十萬元賣一個綺夢給他，洛業(yè)在嘗到甜頭之后，決定買下綺夢。此后洛業(yè)每晚沉迷在綺夢中，為博夢中美女歡心，他戲言愿以心中的至愛交換，不料綺夢突然變成惡夢！洛業(yè)要求十方收回此夢，十方乘機開出天價，洛業(yè)為了愛妻的安全，忍痛答應，但夢醒后他卻發(fā)現(xiàn)自己家財盡失，妻子被自己砍死，痛不欲生之下，惟有自殺一途。　洛業(yè)之弟洛文（尹天照飾）驚聞自己母、兄、嫂相繼死亡的消息，火速回港追查他們的死因，最后查出十方的陰謀，并得到十方妻子（張文慈飾）的幫助，將惡夢反種在十方身上，以其人之道還治其人之身，終于為親人報仇雪恨
