Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 半身死靈

　　在近代日本坊間流傳著這樣一個傳說，名叫島禮子的美麗少女被美國大兵輪奸，在此之后她精神失常，臥軌而死。島禮子一縷幽魂不散，化作只有上半身的恐怖惡靈。它極端憎惡紅色，每晚出沒在橫跨鐵路的天橋上，并在路過之人背后發(fā)出“嗒卡嗒卡”的聲音。一旦路人回頭，它便將對方攔腰斬斷。即使僥幸逃過，在接下來的72小時內(nèi)也必然遭到“嗒卡嗒卡”的獵殺。　　高中少女大橋可奈（大島優(yōu)子 飾）的好友綾花夜歸遭遇“嗒卡嗒卡”，遇害身亡。克奈在祭拜好友時，同樣見到這個恐怖惡靈，不過僥幸逃脫。然而死亡的陰影仍然籠罩在她的頭上，在女大學生平山理繪（山崎真實 飾）的幫助下，她們一同出發(fā)尋找求生的辦法……
