Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 張柏芝,古天樂,范冰冰,黃偉文,許紹雄,張錦程,黃浩然,毛堅(jiān)月娥（張柏芝）是宋朝年間的烈女，武功了得，行俠仗義，追求專一的愛情和婚姻。一日在演詩會(huì)上偶遇一表人才的陳季常（古天樂），二人互生情愫。碰巧皇上為二人賜婚，成全了美好姻緣。但是考驗(yàn)二人感情的時(shí)候才剛剛開始——月娥為管住夫君，對(duì)季常管束甚嚴(yán)。但適得其反，季常在風(fēng)流好友蘇軾（許紹雄）的帶領(lǐng)下經(jīng)常去尋花問柳。月娥萬般無奈，幸好用計(jì)試探，終得知季常仍深愛自己。但是，當(dāng)月娥外出歸來，卻發(fā)現(xiàn)季常舊病復(fù)發(fā)，竟搭上了郡主（范冰冰）。月娥悲憤交加，喝下了忘情水。
