該電影以民國民俗懸疑為題材，講述了一個二十年前的悲劇，以及二十年后的探秘之旅。在二十年前，龍二奎（由劉交心扮演）在趕山途中救助山中麻風病院，但一次誤用山中藥材卻引發了一場悲劇。二十年后，龍二奎攜帶徒弟林耀山（由張倬聞扮演）等人再次踏上趕山之路，尋找未知的秘密。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　《比佛利拜金狗2》雖然不像首集一般安排上戲院放映，但製作規格各方面也都比照當初的電影，同樣是運用電腦科技讓狗狗們開口說話演戲。本片的故事內容則是接續原本的第一集最后，敘述終成眷屬的吉娃娃伴侶 Papi 和 Chloe 如今共組家庭，但是他們的冒險可沒有因此結束喔！沒多久五隻小狗狗們 就報到了，Papi 和 Chloe 成天開始忙著應付這些小鬼頭，防止他們闖禍，給人類主人以及鄰居帶來不必要的麻煩。而且他們的挑戰還不僅於此，這次雖然沒有翻山越嶺，但即使在比佛利本地也會面臨許多冒險，面對一隻嬌嬌狗的挑釁，吉娃娃們還必須登上狗狗名模伸展臺，讓比佛利狗狗時尚界大開眼界！
