在多年前的一段經(jīng)歷后回到法國，鋼琴家馬蒂亞斯·福格勒將再次與他的導師埃倫取得聯(lián)系，為一場音樂會做準備。在一座公園里，他將邂逅一個與自己長得一模一樣的孩子，而這個孩子會把他引向克洛丁——一位他曾在某個時代深愛過的女人。
