云南某小鎮上的一家客棧，浪蕩不羈的老板楊浩（曲少石 飾）與女服務員鬧鬧（曹蕾 飾）有染，還想方設法勾搭實習女服務生曉菲（徐立 飾）。柳經理看在眼里，忍氣吞聲。這一天，楊浩的發小蹦燈兒（李鶴楠 飾）海外留學歸來。兩個好朋友一個德行，都有著輕浮虛化的言行。為了給好友接風，楊浩召集柳經理、曉菲、鬧鬧、后廚的仙爺、華子、小胖等人大擺筵席。夜深人靜，安靜的小院內響起了陰冷清脆的高跟鞋聲，接著一個披頭散發的女人影影綽綽出現在各個角落。　　心懷鬼胎的個人，將經歷最恐怖的一夜……

　　THE CONFINES is a claustrophobic thriller that follows a troubled young woman who, in a last-ditch effort at getting her life together, takes a job working nights as a security guard at an abandoned luxury apartment building. Stuck with a brusque rent-a-cop as her partner, she tries to not let her mind play tricks on her while she patrols the empty halls. But as the night progresses strange things begin to happen - and she realizes it may not all be in her head.

 意大利導演費德里克．費里尼的中期經典作《八部半》是其成熟高峰期作品，此后開始走向糜爛而至腐敗，偏于肉欲放縱和自我沉溺，像《費里尼之薩蒂尼康》（六九年）和本片，都是糜爛頹廢的出色力作。本片反映了十八世紀基督道德不振后的上流腐化放縱，費里尼盡情借題發揮，展現出精英文藝在人欲橫流下的腐爛情態。大情人卡薩諾華是在情場屢戰屢勝的“性斗士"，不斷獵艷，還參加造愛競賽。但這大情人苦于人人只重他的性愛能力，不重視他經世濟民治國的才學。而且女人們對他都“有性無愛"，當他衰老得失去性魅力之后，就只能把一個機械女人當作夢中情人，很可悲可憐。
