身居紐約的人類學家葛瑞拉（Lorraine De Selle 飾）和兄長魯迪（Danilo Mattei 飾）、好友派特（Zora Kerova 飾）結伴前往亞馬遜叢林考察土著的生活習俗。抵達目的地后，他們遇見兩個躲避外界追殺的毒販：麥克（Giovanni Lombardo Radice 飾）和喬（Walter Lucchini 飾）。這兩個邪惡的家伙利用當地人幫他們從事毒品生產和交易，稍不順心便對當地人打罵對待。 正所謂惡貫滿盈，善惡有報。麥克因殘酷殺害包括土著首領女兒在內的當地人，而激起這群善良人的憤怒。他們拿起武器，對這些入侵的白人展開報復，而葛瑞拉他們也被牽連其中

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
