The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
間諜2013
薛景求,文素利,高昌錫,安圣基,丹尼爾·亨利外表平平的金哲秀（薛景求 飾）是大韓民國的一名身懷絕技、勇武干練的特工，但在日常生活中他偽裝身份，連妻子英熙（文素麗 飾）也對其真身一無所知。在老婆面前，他是唯唯諾諾，毫無氣場的普通上班族。哲秀就在危險和平凡中小心翼翼保持平衡。某天，即將參加六方會談的朝鮮代表白武鎮(zhèn)乘坐的飛機被恐怖分子擊落。由于該次會議事關重大，影響著南北統(tǒng)一和放棄核武的協(xié)議簽訂，因此韓方派出金哲秀和搭檔們去泰國營救白武鎮(zhèn)擁有豐富核武制造經驗的女兒白雪希。與此同時，身為空姐的英熙在和丈夫吵完架后飛赴海外，途中邂逅了英俊帥氣的男子萊恩，殊不知此人正是暗殺白武鎮(zhèn)的冷血殺手。危機重重的泰國，金秀哲經歷著來自國家和家庭的嚴峻考驗……
啄木鳥和雨
役所廣司,小栗旬,高良健吾,臼田麻美,伊武雅刀,山崎努寧靜的山村進入雨季。村中的老伐木工人岸克彥（役所廣司 飾）為人古板，與兒子關系緊張。他在上工途中給東京來的新人導演田邊幸一（小栗旬 飾）和副導演帶路，由此被拉入一部喪尸電影的外景拍攝。在被迫充當臨時演員后，克彥竟對電影產生了微妙的興趣，他開始不請自來的幫助攝制組與村民溝通，開展工作，甚至忽略了本職與妻子的忌日。 突然闖入的攝制組擾亂了山村的平靜和克彥的生活，也改變了導演幸一自身。幸一生性靦腆缺乏自信，在攝制組中毫無威信。偶然間他發(fā)現自己的喪尸劇本竟為克彥所欣賞，不禁大受鼓舞，兩人在數次的泡澡時間里進行了奇妙的溝通。在克彥的幫助下，幸一慢慢樹立了自信，電影拍攝也步入正軌。然而臨關機前的一場瓢潑大雨再次令拍攝陷入危機，克彥的缺席也令幸一惶恐無措起來…… 影片獲第24屆東京國際電影節(jié)評委會大獎。片中兩位主演役所廣司和小栗旬在現實中亦均擔任過導演。
遠古狂蟒

銀色星球
安德烈·瑟韋林,杰吉·特雷拉,格拉齊娜·迪拉格,瓦爾德馬·科納克基,伊沃娜·別爾斯卡,耶日·格拉萊克,埃爾茲別塔·卡爾科什卡,克里斯提娜·楊達,馬切伊·古拉伊,亨里克·塔拉爾,萊謝克·德盧戈什,讓·弗里茲,亨里克·比斯塔,維斯瓦夫·科馬薩,耶日·戈林斯基改編自叔叔杰西·祖拉斯基(Jerzy Zulawski)的科幻小說杰作《月球三部曲》，故事描述人類逃離毀滅的地球，飛船墜落在銀色星球上，不久后有人開始在星球上進行造神運動，然信徒分化后一派奉此外來政權為神，另一派則視之為魔，人性貪婪的劣根性，在這星球上暴露的一覽無遺…… 本片被譽為是“一部拍給另一個世界的人看的電影”。影評人一致推崇這部片是導演安德烈·祖拉斯基電影生涯中，最具史觀、野心勃勃且兼具后現代主義的科幻哲思電影，也是他重回故鄉(xiāng)波蘭拍攝的歸鄉(xiāng)代表作?！ ∵@部充滿爭議的杰作，安德烈以非常風格化又帶著原始情欲的方式，傳達其所鐘愛的命題：一則后現代主義式的寓言。故事的結局，地球人不但改變原本的內在，連外在也慢慢變成介于人與鳥的中間物種。這種由內而外，進而轉化成另一物種的隱喻，也為這部猶如政治寓言的科幻史詩，更添加了奇幻色彩?！ ?977年當影片拍好八成時，新上任的波蘭文化助理大臣禁止此片拍攝，并下令銷毀場景、布置和服裝，直到1986年波蘭民主化，本片才跟著其它禁片出土。本片同時也發(fā)掘了戛納影后克里斯提娜·楊達的潛能，拍攝這部處女作不久，她成為基耶斯洛夫斯基及瓦伊達最喜愛的女演員，也成為波蘭的國民影后。
