Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 張豐毅,陳佩斯,姜昆,寶麗娜·拉芳,孫敏,于紹康,王姬,劉江,唐杰忠,里坡,管宗祥,歐陽奮強,高強,高保成,于凌達,曹蓬,王建軍,李德華,袁茂川,蔣德鑫,劉斌,王哲元清朝末年，歐洲足球隊海盜隊來華時和駐華外國使館聯隊進行了一場比賽。比賽引來了大批民眾和朝廷官員觀看，海盜隊獲勝后，隊長哈里為博取女友詹尼一笑，竟然用力將球踢向圍觀的群眾和朝廷官員。就在一眾外國人哈哈大笑之時，人群中竄出一名大漢，他叫周天（張豐毅 飾），他以高強的球技回敬了哈里。詹尼見此教唆哈里向中方挑戰，于是一場中外足球賽大戰在即。原來周天是一位曾留學牛津大學并曾擔任清朝翰林院編修的進步青年，他深知中、外足球水平的據，單憑一己之力很難為中國人出一口氣。于是，周天踏上了訪尋民間球俠、為國增光的道路。

Kim 飾）、安妮（Noel Cho 飾）一起從熟悉的西海岸搬到了偏僻而又陌生的阿肯色州。雖然對于丈夫的這一決定，莫妮卡的心中十分的反對，但她拗不過雅各布的堅決和頑固，只得被迫夫唱婦隨。蠻荒之地的生活既不舒適也不有趣，在最初的新鮮感過去之后，大衛和安妮很快就開始懷念起過去的生活了。之后，孩子們的外婆也來到了他們的身邊，給這個家庭帶來了一絲熱鬧的氣息。雅各布沒有發現的是，當他將越來越多的時間和精力投入到開發農場這件事情上時，他和妻子之間的距離就越來越遠。
