Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　影片講述了一個從小被拋棄于森林，依照動物生存模式存活下來的女人。被一個男人擄掠回家并且受盡欺凌。這家人中，男主人極度大男子主義，仇視女人。小兒子因為受父親教導也對女人極不尊敬。懦弱并逆來順受的母親，被父親侮辱而懷孕的大女兒，以及不諳世事的小女兒。故事的最后，大女兒在極度絕望和恐懼的支配下放了野女人，野女人殺了她的父母和弟弟，帶走了她的妹妹。 　　本片以不太恐怖的氛圍，卻深刻的暗喻了一個至今仍然存在的嚴重的社會現象，男人應該如何看待女人，女人應該如何正確扮演家庭中的角色。
